Sparks Over the park

Independence Day Celebration

Lake Tobesofkee will host the 26th Annual Sparks Over the Park Independence Day Celebration on Saurday July 4th, 2020. Gates open at 9:00 a.m., and will close at 8:00 p.m. for safety precautions. All of the parks at Lake Tobesofkee will be open, there will be a live band, and the day will conclude with the fireworks show.

During the day, there will be normal activities such as swimming, boating, sunbathing, picnics, disc golf, volleyball, and more. The Travis Bryant Band will perform from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Sandy Beach Park Pavilion, and the fireworks show will start about 9:15 p.m. Claystone and Sandy Beach Park are the best places to view the fireworks.

Recreation & Relaxation Await!

The Tobesofkee Recreation Area has three public parks. Claystone and Sandy Beach Parks, located on Moseley Dixon Road near I-475, and Arrowhead Park, located on Columbus Road near U.S. 80.

At Lake Tobesofkee you will be able to enjoy fishing, camping, boating, picnicking, and swimming from one of our three white sand beaches.

This unique recreation facility is located only three miles from Interstate 475 and is less than ten minutes from middle Georgia’s largest shopping complex, the modern Macon Mall. The Tobesofkee Recreation Area has three public parks: Claystone, Sandy Beach, and Arrowhead Park.
