The staff of the Lake Tobesofkee Recreation Area would like to welcome you to the most complete and hospitable recreation facility in Middle Georgia.
The Tobesofkee Recreation Area has three public parks. Claystone and Sandy Beach Parks, located on Moseley Dixon Road near I-475, and Arrowhead Park, located on Columbus Road near U.S. 80.
At Lake Tobesofkee you will be able to enjoy fishing, camping, boating, picnicking, and swimming from one of our three white sand beaches.
Waterfront Property Owners,
Macon-Bibb County will be lowering the lake level at Lake Tobesofkee during the winter season. This will allow property owners to build and/or do repair work on docks, boathouses, and seawalls. This will also allow us to make much-needed repairs and improvements to our boat ramps, beaches, swimming areas, and shorelines inside public parks.
We will begin lowering the lake on December 4th, 2023, and will continue lowering it until it reaches a maximum of six (6) feet below normal level. It will remain at that level until Feb 12, 2024, at which time we will begin raising it back to the normal level.
