Public Notice

Macon-Bibb County will be lowering the lake level at Lake Tobesofkee during the winter season. This will allow property owners to build and/or do repair work on docks, boathouse, and seawalls. This will also allow us to make much-needed repairs and improvements to our boat ramps, beaches, swimming areas and shorelines inside public parks.

We will begin lowering the lake on December 4th, 2023, and will continue lowering it until it reaches a maximum of six (6) feet below normal level. It will remain at that level until Feb 12, 2024, at which time we will begin raising it back to normal level.
